First graders used a new program today and learned several word processing skills. After opening the "First Snow" file, students learned how to add text to an existing document. They practiced clicking and dragging to highlight words and then changed the text color. They also learned about the delete key. They completed this activity by using the paint tools in ClarisWorks for Kids to make a picture to go with the poem.
