Today campers added more image processing techniques to their repertoire. Campers experimented with more of the tool functions in NIH Image software using onscreen tutorials in the Tool Time lesson.

The image processing skills involved in today's activites were:

  • making selections
  • manipulating the LUT (Look Up Table)
  • editing images
  • adjusting the density slice

As campers worked through "Tool Time" they created some of their own doodles using the eyedropper, paintbrush, spray can, and pencil tools. Even the eraser tool was used to modify images.

Campers practiced using the selection tools and then by choosing the Draw Boundary command were able to create all kinds of geometric shapes.

Snack time at Camp IPX!

Campers also have some time to explore their own "special projects". One camper brought in some props and along with the help of the digital camera was able to create some cool special effects.

"I got turned into a ten inch tall human next to a waist high danish and a glass as tall as my dad!!! This software is great!"
